Fillet/Chamfer (FI)

Use this tool to round corners (fillet) or bevel with a line (chamfer). Follow the steps below to fillet or chamfer a drawn corner.

1. From the Draw/Edit ribbon, click Fillet or press FI.

2. Select a point on one side of the desired corner where you want the fillet or chamfer to begin.

3. Click a second point on the other side of the corner. A fillet will appear and the Fillet tool panel opens.

   

4. Use the grips to adjust the position of the points, or use the tool panel.

Fillet Tool Panel

Offset:	Enter a value for the distance between the point and the corner.
Radius:	Enter a value for the length of the radius.
Lock Radius:	Lock the radius so that both of the offsets are the same size.
Chamfer:	Connect the offset points with a straight line.
Finalize:	Close the tool panel and set the new corner. The arc or line must be grouped with the shape in order to connect them.
Cancel Fillet:	Cancel the operation.
