Rectangle

To draw a rectangle:

1. On the Draw/Edit ribbon, click the Rectangle drop-down arrow.
   
   

2. Select a rectangle type:

   • Two-click rectangle (Rectangle [R2]) - Click the placement point for the left corner of the rectangle, and then click the placement point for the opposite corner.

   • Three-click rectangle (3-Point Rectangle [R3]) - Click the placement point for the left corner of the triangle, then drag and click the adjacent corner. Drag the rectangle to the desired width, and click the placement point for the opposite corner. Use this option to draw rectangles that are not horizontal and vertical.

   • For a Polygon, click the placement point for the edge of the polygon, draw the shape, and then double-click to finalize the shape. Configure options in the tool panel.

   

   Use the side or center polygon tools to draw a polygon from the side or center.You can enter the number of sides and other details in the Polygon Tool Panel.

3. Use the grips to modify the rectangle or polygon or edit the rectangle properties in the tools panel.

Rectangle Tool Panel

Line Type	Select a line type.
Fill Color	Select to fill the object, and choose a fill color and fill characteristics.
Outline Color	Choose the color and characteristics for the object’s line.
Thickness	Choose the line thickness.
Layer	Choose an existing layer or add a new layer for the object.
Virtual Reality Options	Select to display the VRT Settings panel.
X,Y, Z axes	Adjust the position of the object along the axes.
Length	Adjust the length of the object.
Width	Adjust the width of the object.
Height	In 3D mode, add a 3D wall to the object.
Area	Displays the area measurement of the object. You cannot edit this value.
Rotation	Adjust the rotation of the object.

 

Polygon Tool Panel

Fill Color	Select to fill the object, and choose a fill color and fill characteristics.
Color and Material	Choose the color and characteristics for the object’s outline. You can also select a texture.
Thickness	Choose the line thickness.
Layer	Choose an existing layer or add a new layer for the object.
# Sides	Specify the number of sides for the polygon.
Radius	Adjust the length of the object.
Side Length	Adjust the width of the object.
Yaw	Adjust the yaw (rotations of the object.
Fill	Choose a fill color from the palette. If you want to select a texture, use the Fill Color button.
Outline	Choose an outline color for the object.
Transparency	Adjust the transparency.
Convert to Polyline	Convert the object to a continuous line. You can modify the line at every node point.
