Importing GLTF Files

You can import .gltf files directly into the software. After you import a GLTF mesh model, you can scale it and orient it. Skydio uses drone data to create these models.

To import a .gltf file:

  1. From the Experimental ribbon, click GLTF.

  2. Browse to the folder that contains the .GLTF file, select the file, and click Open.

  3. From the Edit Symbol dialog, you can do the following:

Rotate Adjust the Yaw, Pitch, and Roll values to adjust the rotation of the object.
Scale Select a unit type, and then adjust the values to size the object. You can adjust the Length, Width and Height, individually, or use the Scale option to adjust all 3 values simultaneously.
Center Center the object in the drawing by adjusting the X, Y, and Z values. Adjust the values, and then click Center.
Parts Adjust properties for parts of the mesh.
Snapshot Take a snapshot of the mesh image. You can save the snapshot in .PNG, .JPEG, or TIFF formats.
Save Save the mesh as a model.
Place Place the mesh object in the drawing.
