Import FARO SCENE Project

Follow the steps below to import a point cloud from FARO SCENE, including .lsproj, and .fls files.

1. Load a drawing or start a new drawing.

2. From the Point Cloud ribbon, click Import FARO SCENE Project Point Cloud.

3. A dialog box displays with instructions for saving the point cloud as a FARO SCENE Project Point Cloud. FARO Zone 3D only imports FARO SCENEproject point clouds. Select Don’t Show Again to suppress this screen in the future.

   If FARO SCENE is open, you are prompted to close it before loading the point cloud. Click OK to continue.

4. Navigate to theFARO SCENE project folder.

5. Load the FARO SCENE file by double-clicking it. Valid file formats are .lsproj or .fls.

6. The point cloud is not aligned with the existing drawing. Click Cloud Tools and adjust Z and rotation to match the coordinates of the drawing.
