Load Symbol from File

Use the Load Symbol from File command to load customized symbols created with FARO Zone 3D , or another application.

To load a symbol from a file:

1. On the Symbols ribbon, click the Load Symbol from File command.

2. Browse to the folder that contains the file, and then double-click the file. If the symbol was not created in FARO Zone 3D, change the file type to .czs, ..czsx, .a2xml or DXF. A ghost image of the symbol appears at the cursor.

3. Click or snap in the scene to place the symbol’s anchor point.

4. Move the cursor to rotate the symbol to the desired position and click a final point to place it.

5. Make adjustments in the tool panel.

6. Depending on the properties of the symbol, you can adjust the visibility, color, line, and fill of the symbol’s parts.
