The FARO Laser Line Probe is stored in a separate Shipping case. Installing it is similar to the Quantum . The LLP can be attached/detached while the Quantum is powered On.

The FARO Laser Line Probe does not fit into the Shipping case.

To attach the probe:

1. Set up your Quantum and install the 6 mm or 3 mm ball probe.

2. Loosen the handle locking ring by turning it counterclockwise.

3. Remove the protective cover.

   

   Removing the 7-Axis Handle cover

4. Insert the front edge of the LLP into the slot.

5. Push the probe handle in so that the connectors engage.

   

   Attaching the LLP

   Tighten the locking ring by turning it clockwise. Keep turning until the proper torque is reached and the locking releases and clicks.

Remove the LLP from the Quantum before packing.
